Eva Longoria George Clooney Nespresso Campaign Rome

ROME, Italy — Actress and director Eva Longoria recently opened up about her experience filming Nespresso‘s latest campaign alongside George Clooney in Rome. The campaign, which premiered on January 27, 2025, features Longoria as a detective investigating the theft of the brand’s colorful coffee capsules, with Clooney playing one of the prime suspects.

Longoria, 49, told PEOPLE that the three-day shoot was filled with laughter, despite Clooney’s reputation for pranks. “We were laughing and laughing and laughing,” she said. “He was well-behaved on set, but his energy is contagious. He lifts up everybody, lifts up the entire crew.”

The “Desperate Housewives” alum, who has known Clooney for over 15 years, described him as “funny, easygoing, and the kindest human being.” She added, “Everybody loves him. You just have to be kind because he’s just so kind.”

Longoria, a self-proclaimed “huge coffee drinker,” shared that her morning routine revolves around coffee. “I love the ritual of something warm, the smell, starting my day with a smooth, creamy latte,” she said. “Nespresso makes it so easy.”

In addition to her work with Nespresso, Longoria has been busy with her culinary ventures. The cookbook author, who released “My Mexican Kitchen” in 2024, recently collaborated with Brooklyn Beckham in the kitchen. “He’s a fantastic cook,” she said. “We’re both cooks, not chefs. We’re just throwing things together. His hot sauce is really amazing.”

Longoria, who splits her time between Spain and Mexico with her husband, José Bastón, and their 6-year-old son Santiago, praised the local cuisines of both countries. “Mexico has the best breakfasts in the world,” she said. “In Spain, I love everything. The clean eating, the fresh ingredients — it’s all local.”

As she approaches her 50th birthday, Longoria is reflecting on the next chapter of her life. “It’s a big milestone,” she said. “I’m making daily decisions that will affect the rest of the next 50 years. It’s about shaping who I want to be and what defines my legacy.”
