The family of the late former Chief Executive Officer of Konga, Nick Imudia, has strongly refuted allegations of suicide surrounding his death.

In a statement signed by Dr. Anthony N. Imudia, the family dismissed claims that Nick had made farewell calls to his relatives before passing away.

The Imudia family labeled the reports as false and criticized the media for inaccurately portraying Nick’s death as suicide.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police’s office has pledged to investigate the circumstances of Nick’s sudden demise.

According to the family, there is no evidence to suggest that Nick committed suicide, and the claims made in some media outlets are baseless.

Nick Imudia, who served as the Group CEO of D.light International based in Nairobi, Kenya, was managing the company’s global operations.

Describing Nick as full of life, the family disputed reports that he exhibited any signs of stress or depression.

The Imudia family emphasized that the idea of suicide, as portrayed in the media, is questionable given Nick’s demeanor before his untimely death.

Previously, Nick had a successful career with Nokia, working in locations such as Helsinki, Singapore, and West and Central Africa.

After leaving Nokia following its acquisition by Microsoft, Nick took on the role of CEO at Konga in Nigeria, where he revamped the company’s operations.

SaharaReporters had earlier published that Nick Imudia allegedly jumped from the balcony of his Lekki apartment in Lagos, leading to his passing.

The family has urged the media and the public to allow them to mourn Nick without spreading unsubstantiated rumors surrounding his death.
