The family of 19-year-old Jay Slater is enduring immense pain and worries as the search for the missing teenager in Tenerife has come to a halt. Debbie Duncan, Jay’s mother, expressed the family’s anguish, emphasizing their desperate need for answers.

Debbie Duncan described Jay Slater as a vibrant and promising young man who vanished after attending the NRG Tenerife Weekender festival in Playa de Las Americas. The last contact was made with his friend Lucy Law, where Jay mentioned his intentions to walk back to his accommodation, setting off a distressing chain of events.

Despite extensive efforts from emergency services, Guardia Civil, and volunteers, the search for Jay Slater has concluded without success. Tenerife officials called off the search, leaving the family grappling with uncertainty and fear.

Debbie Duncan, in a statement released through LBT Global, thanked the Spanish authorities for their continued investigations into Jay’s disappearance. The family remains distraught, uncertain of Jay’s whereabouts, and holding onto hope amid the ordeal.

The support from the media and the global community has been acknowledged by the family, with Debbie Duncan urging for privacy to allow authorities to carry out their work without interference.
