Family Tragedy Unfolds: Woman's In Laws Booked For Suicide Abetment In Rajkot

In a heartbreaking incident in Rajkot, a 19-year-old man, Jay Katara, fell victim to a scam, losing a staggering amount of Rs 1.44 lakh. The deception occurred when he attempted to withdraw Rs 5,000 using his cousin sister Ushma‘s debit card at an ATM near Gymkhana.

Unable to complete the transaction, Jay was approached by an unknown man pretending to be a helpful bank customer. This swindler covertly observed Jay entering the PIN number and seized the card from the machine. Subsequently, the fraudster swapped the card before surreptitiously returning it to Jay, facilitating the withdrawal of the substantial sum without his knowledge.

Meanwhile, in a separate case of tragedy, the in-laws of a 23-year-old woman are under scrutiny for their potential involvement in her suicide and alleged domestic abuse. The distressing incident unfolded when the young woman, Jiknal Parmar, took her own life by consuming poison at her parental residence in Jilana village, located in Manavadar taluka of Junagadh district.

Following her demise, Jiknal’s father, Bharat Rathod, lodged a formal complaint with the Manavadar police station, implicating his son-in-law, Sunil Parmar, along with Sunil’s mother, Hansa, and his grandmother, Nanu, in abetment of suicide and domestic violence charges. The grievance detailed the emotional distress and mistreatment Jiknal allegedly endured, leading her to seek refuge at her parental home for an extended period, after Sunil reportedly refused to retrieve her.
