Fatal Crash in Cabell County Claims One Life, Injures Another

ONA, W.Va. (WSAZ) – A fatal vehicle crash in Cabell County late Sunday night left one man dead and another person critically injured. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Fudges Creek Road.

According to officials from the Cabell County Sheriff’s Office, 36-year-old Joseph Cobb of Barboursville was ejected from the vehicle during the accident. Emergency responders, including deputies, EMS, and fire departments from Milton and Ona, rushed to the scene following the report of the crash.

Deputies confirmed that the second occupant of the vehicle, a female passenger, was transported to the hospital and is currently listed in critical condition.

Following the crash, the relevant section of Fudges Creek Road has reopened to traffic. An investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.

“We are still gathering information and trying to determine the circumstances that led to this tragic incident,” said a spokesperson for the Cabell County Sheriff’s Office.
