FBI Director Kash Patel Reveals His Home Was Swatted

Las Vegas, Nevada — FBI Director Kash Patel revealed on the podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience” that his home was swatted on Tuesday morning. During the episode released Friday, Patel described the incident, stating, “S–t. My house just got swatted yesterday.”
Swatting involves falsely reporting a serious crime, such as a hostage situation, to trigger an armed police response. Patel’s home was targeted with a call to law enforcement around 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, but officers determined it was a hoax before dispatching any teams.
Patel expressed concerns regarding the increasing number of swatting incidents, particularly involving high-profile individuals. He noted, “Weaponizing law enforcement against any American… will not be tolerated.” This comment echoes his previous warnings about the surge in swatting attacks aimed at media figures.
While addressing the dangerous implications of swatting, Patel highlighted that it not only endangers the victims but also distracts law enforcement from real emergencies. He stated, “This isn’t about politics — weaponizing law enforcement against ANY American is not only morally reprehensible but also endangers lives, including our officers.”
He was joined in expressing similar sentiments by Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, who announced a partnership aimed at cracking down on swatting incidents targeting conservative media and their families.
During his chat with Rogan, Patel stressed the hypocrisy he sees in political discourse, declaring, “They have two sets of rules — one against you and one for them.” His remarks underscored a growing frustration among some public figures regarding how they perceive unequal treatment under the law.
In recent months, several public figures have reported being victims of swatting, contributing to growing concerns over safety and accountability in public communications.
Patel’s call to action and commitment to combating swatting will be monitored closely as further developments unfold.
