București, RomâniaFCSB is facing a challenging period as they deal with multiple player injuries. Recently, defender Valentin Crețu was ruled out due to an injury in his metatarsal, preventing him from being able to run normally. Reports suggest he will be sidelined for approximately two weeks.

Crețu was a key player last season, logging over 4,000 minutes in 53 matches. He has only featured in three games this season, intensifying concerns for the team’s depth. In upcoming matches, FCSB will face FC Botoșani, Go Ahead Eagles, Oțelul Galați, Young Boys Berna, and Universitatea Craiova.

This setback follows the recent loss of another key player, leaving FCSB with only two available right-backs, Alexandru Pantea and Daniel Graovac. Furthermore, Mihai Toma, an 18-year-old player, filled in during the second half of a recent match, as the team’s owner, Gigi Becali, expressed a desire to see young talent on the pitch.

Just before a competitive clash at Miercurea Ciuc, FCSB received more disturbing news when Elias Charalambous learned that five players would not be available due to injuries or medical issues. This string of injuries comes at a critical time for the club as they prepare to start their Europa League campaign against Go Ahead Eagles on September 25.
