Fede Dorcaz, Model and Partner of Mariana Ávila, Shot Dead at 29

Ciudad de México, México — Fede Dorcaz, a 29-year-old model and singer, was shot dead on October 10 during what appears to be an attempted robbery. The tragic incident occurred in the Miguel Hidalgo borough of Mexico City.

Dorcaz was driving a luxury vehicle along Periférico when two armed men on motorcycles approached. Reports indicate that the assailants had been following him for several blocks before the attack.

The city’s Secretary of Citizen Security confirmed the death, stating that Dorcaz suffered multiple gunshot wounds. ‘This appears to be a direct attack,’ the agency said in a statement.

His death was confirmed through social media by ¡Siéntese Quien Pueda!, which expressed deep sorrow over the loss. ‘Fede’s talent, charisma, and passion for the arts will live on in our memories and the music he gifted us,’ they wrote.

Colleagues shared their grief, recalling Dorcaz’s recent participation as a contestant in the upcoming reality show ‘Las Estrellas Bailan en Hoy,’ where he was expected to partner with his girlfriend, YouTuber Mariana Ávila.

TV personalities Andrea Legarreta and Galilea Montijo noted their shock at the news. ‘Just yesterday, we announced Mariana as a participant,’ Legarreta said. A memorial applause was dedicated to Dorcaz by the cast of ‘Hoy.’

The investigation is ongoing, with authorities reviewing surveillance footage to identify the suspects.
