A statement from the Gloucester Township Police emphasized the importance of maintaining fire suppression systems. ‘This incident serves as a reminder to inspect your fire suppression systems, including alerts and audible alarm systems, to ensure their operational status. Smoke alarms are a crucial component of any fire escape plan,’ the statement read. ‘Working smoke alarms provide early warnings, enabling prompt evacuation.’
