Epcot Popcorn Cart Fire Incident

ORLANDO, Fla. — A popcorn cart in World Celebration at EPCOT caught fire earlier today. Cast Members quickly extinguished the flames, preventing further damage.

An Instagram video shows smoke billowing from the popcorn section of the cart, which is situated near the edge of World Nature and World Celebration. While no visible flames were seen, Cast Members were spotted using fire extinguishers to contain the situation.

One reporter, present at EPCOT at the time, captured photos shortly after the fire was confirmed. Within minutes, the flames were extinguished and no smoke remained, with only the popcorn section showing damage.

The glass in the popcorn section is now tinted gray and black from smoke, but no windows were broken. The smoke also darkened the vent at the top of the cart. Cast Members have cordoned off the affected section with stanchions.

Guests can still purchase drinks and ice cream from the right side of the cart, but popcorn is currently unavailable.

No injuries were reported, and the situation was resolved quickly. There will be updates if more information becomes available.
