Fka Twigs Performing Eusexua Album

LOS ANGELES, California — British artist FKA Twigs is celebrating a triumphant comeback after facing a major setback earlier this year. Just days before her anticipated performance at Coachella, Twigs, whose real name is Tahliah Barnett, was unable to enter the U.S. due to visa issues. This led to the cancellation of her tour and impacted her emotionally and financially.

“It was one of the most painful times of my career,” the 37-year-old artist admitted. “I wanted to perform in front of my fans … and it all slipped through my fingers like sand.” The challenges she encountered taught her invaluable lessons about touring logistics. She now has a better understanding of how many days it takes for freight to arrive and how to navigate customs.

In a strategic move reminiscent of other artists like Taylor Swift, Twigs has decided to manage herself with a small team rather than rely on a traditional music manager. “Now I know about buses and freighting,” she said. “It’s something new that I’m trying.”

Despite the rough start, her album “Eusexua” is receiving critical acclaim. It is shortlisted for the prestigious U.K. Mercury Prize, and awards buzz is growing as Grammy voting approaches. Twigs describes the album as an exciting blend inspired by the euphoria of club life, showcasing her unique vocal range.

Twigs reflected on past experiences, emphasizing that while she values recognition from her peers, her primary focus remains on the cultural impact of her music. “I’ve never been in this for awards,” she explained. “But I have released music for two decades, and it would mean something to be recognized.”

Her artistry extends beyond music; Twigs has also ventured into acting, portraying unforgettable characters in her upcoming films. Recently, she played a complex role opposite Nicolas Cage in the sequel to “The Crow.”

Following her experiences with domestic abuse at the hands of Shia LaBeouf, Twigs has been vocal about her commitment to advocacy and support for survivors. As she prepares for her return to major festivals, she focuses on the importance of community.

With plans to return to Coachella in 2026, Twigs expresses excitement about reconnecting with her audience. She believes that shared experiences through music provide comfort and belonging. “To have moments, among a group of like-minded people, could be the difference of life and death,” she said.
