Florida Publix Lottery Winner

NAPLES, Florida — Another lucky player has won big in the Florida Lottery as a $1 million winning Powerball ticket was sold at a Publix grocery store on Monday, February 24. This latest victory marks the third time this month that a winning ticket worth $1 million was sold at a Publix.

The winning ticket for the February 24 drawing matched five out of the six numbers, with the winning numbers being 10-11-34-59-68. The Powerball number was 14 and the Power Play was 3. The ticket was purchased at the Publix located at 12663 Tamiami Trail East in Naples.

In previous drawings this February, winning tickets sold at Publix stores in Spring Hill and Port St. Lucie also matched five numbers, each earning the holder $1 million. A ticket sold on February 1 at 7661 Commercial Way in Spring Hill had the winning numbers 23-29-32-49-61, with a Powerball of 8 and a Power Play of 2. On February 19, a ticket from 3253 SW Port St. Lucie Blvd. in Port St. Lucie had the numbers 6-21-28-49-60, a Powerball of 20, and a Power Play of 2.

Lottery rules state that all Florida Lottery prizes must be claimed within 180 days from the date of the drawing. For cash option claims, winners have up to 60 days after the draw to opt for a single payment. Additionally, winnings from scratch-off or Fast Play games need to be claimed within 60 days of the game’s official end date.

Players hoping to strike it rich in the Powerball have daunting odds, with a 1-in-292.2 million chance of matching all six numbers. However, prizes can range from as low as $2 to the grand jackpot, which varies with each drawing.

Florida Lottery records are public, and the state mandates that winner information — including names, cities, and amounts won — must be shared with interested parties. However, Florida law allows names of winners claiming prizes of $250,000 or more to remain confidential for 90 days following the claim unless waived by the winner.

As the Powerball jackpot continues to grow, the next drawing on Wednesday, February 28, will have a jackpot of $230 million, with a cash value option of $105.2 million. Whether any more lucky players will emerge from Florida’s Publix stores remains to be seen as the excitement and suspense build surrounding the national lottery.
