Philadelphia Flyers Nashville Predators Game Preview

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania — The Philadelphia Flyers will host the Nashville Predators tonight at 7 p.m. ET at the Xfinity Mobile Arena, looking to extend their strong home record. The Flyers hold a 5-1-0 record on home ice this season.

After a thrilling victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday, the Flyers hope to maintain their momentum. Head coach Rick Tocchet emphasized the importance of not overlooking the Predators after the emotional overtime win.

As for the lineups, the Flyers will start goalie Dan Vladar, who performed well but faces an unusual situation as backup Aleksei Kolosov is called up from the AHL. Regular backup Samuel Ersson is day-to-day due to an injury he sustained during warmups.

For the Predators, Juuse Saros is expected to be in net after a tough loss against the Tampa Bay Lightning. In terms of injuries, the Predators are missing Roman Josi and Adam Wilsby, while the Flyers are without Rasmus Ristolainen and Samuel Ersson.

Filip Forsberg has been a key player for the Predators, racking up three goals and five points in his last five outings. The Flyers’ Tyson Foerster is also making an impact, having accumulated six points in nine games this season.

Both teams have been shuffling their lineups due to injuries. The Flyers will welcome Emil Andrae back to the defensive lineup, replacing Egor Zamula. Meanwhile, for Nashville, rookies and new alignments aim to bolster their offensive strategy.

The game will be broadcast on NBCSP and can be heard on 97.5 The Fanatic.
