Ford Vehicles Recall Brake Fluid Issue

Terre Haute, IN, USA – Ford Motor Company is recalling 273,789 vehicles in the United States due to a potential brake fluid leak that could lead to brake failure, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced on Wednesday.

The recall affects certain 2022-2024 model year Navigator and Expedition vehicles. The NHTSA reports that a contact issue between the front brake lines and the engine air cleaner outlet pipe may cause damage, resulting in the leak of brake fluid.

As part of the recall, Ford dealers will inspect the affected vehicles and replace the front brake line and the air cleaner outlet pipe at no cost to the vehicle owners. Notifications to car owners are expected to be sent by May 26, according to the NHTSA.

Safety is paramount, and Ford’s swift action aims to prevent any accidents that could arise from this defect.
