John Wayne Sace Arrest Pasig City Shooting

Former Filipino actor and dancer John Wayne Sace was arrested on October 29, 2024, for allegedly shooting and killing a 43-year-old man in Pasig City, Philippines. According to reports from the Pasig City Police, the incident occurred on Monday, October 28, around 7:30 p.m. in Barangay Sagad. Sace allegedly shot the victim, identified as Lynell Eugenio, multiple times with a .45 caliber pistol following a heated argument.

The police investigation revealed that Sace and the victim had a previous dispute, and Sace claimed that he and his family had received threats prior to the incident. In a statement to the media, Sace mentioned that he felt threatened and believed the victim was planning something against him and his family.

Sace was captured a few hours after the incident at a hotel near the city center and was detained at the Pasig City Police headquarters. Authorities recovered the handgun used in the shooting along with five spent bullet casings. Sace is set to undergo a paraffin test as part of the investigation.

This is not the first time Sace has been involved in a shooting incident. In 2016, he was injured and his friend, Eric Sabino, was killed in a separate shooting incident in Pasig City. Both men were on the police’s watch list for their involvement in illegal drug use at the time.

Sace, who rose to prominence as a child actor and later became a member of the dance group Anim-e, had recently returned to mainstream acting with roles in shows like “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano”.
