ENID, Okla. (AP) — A former police officer who served in both Kansas and Oklahoma has been convicted of child sex abuse crimes, authorities announced Tuesday. Brock England, 34, was found guilty on Jan. 22, 2025, by the Garfield County District Court of sexually abusing a child under 12 and two counts of lewd molestation.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) began investigating England in October 2022 after the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance. England, who worked for the Wichita Police Department in Kansas and the Enid Police Department in Oklahoma from 2014 to 2022, was accused of committing multiple child sex crimes in both states, some of which occurred while he was an active officer.

England was arrested in March 2023 and booked into the Garfield County Jail. During the investigation, OSBI agents uncovered evidence of his crimes, leading to the charges. The Wichita Police Department placed England on administrative leave during the initial stages of the investigation.

“The OSBI is grateful for the collaboration of the Wichita Police Department, Garfield County Sheriff’s Office, Enid Police Department, and Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office in bringing this case to justice,” an OSBI spokesperson said in a statement.

England’s conviction marks the culmination of a two-year investigation into his actions. Authorities have not disclosed further details about the victims or the specific circumstances of the crimes.
