Fort Worth Rapper and Daughter Murdered at Car Wash, Suspects Arrested

FOREST HILL, Texas — A tragic shooting at a Forest Hill car wash claimed the lives of Fort Worth rapper Ronnie Sibley, known as G$ Lil Ronnie, and his 5-year-old daughter R’mani on Monday. The victims were attacked while cleaning Sibley’s vehicle at Slappy’s Car Wash, located in the 6500 block of Forest Hill Drive.
According to police, Sibley was vacuuming his car when two men, later identified as 24-year-old Adonis Robinson and 21-year-old Jakobie Russell, approached and opened fire. Multiple bullets struck the vehicle, fatally wounding R’mani while her father was found a short distance away. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
“We are devastated by this senseless loss,” said Forest Hill Police Chief David Hernandez during a news conference. “We do not yet have a motive or any information on the relationship between the victims and suspects.”
Robinson was arrested on Thursday in Livingston, Texas, about 75 miles northeast of Houston. Chief Hernandez confirmed the arrest was made possible through the relentless coordination between the Texas Rangers, Fort Worth Police Department Tactical Intelligence Unit, and Forest Hill Police.
“They’re scared, they’re cowards, they’re hiding,” Hernandez said of the suspects on Wednesday. “We ask the public to help us locate the second suspect.”
The alleged murder occurred around 10:45 a.m. on Monday morning. Witnesses reported that two men exited a white four-door Kia and approached Sibley’s car before firing several shots. As the investigation continues, police have released little information regarding the suspects’ motive or whether they were known to Sibley.
Robinson, labeled “public enemy number one” by Chief Hernandez, is a registered sex offender with a prior conviction. He faces capital murder charges, which can lead to life imprisonment or the death penalty if convicted. As of Thursday evening, Robinson was expected to be extradited to Tarrant County.
Forest Hill Mayor Stephanie Boardingham expressed her condolences to the victims’ family and emphasized community safety. “The safety of the general public is our first concern. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family, to our community, because everyone was affected,” she stated.
This incident marks the third significant gun-related event recorded by the Forest Hill Police Department this year. Detectives are investigating a separate shooting where a stray bullet struck a house, and another incident resulting in an arrest.
“Let the public know there is a threat out there,” Hernandez urged. Police continue to search for Russell, who remains at large as the investigation into the homicides proceeds. Anyone with information related to the case is encouraged to contact the Forest Hill Police Department.
