CARY, N.C. — Fortnite OG Season 2 launched Friday, January 31, 2025, bringing back the iconic Tilted Towers location and introducing a host of new features, skins, and gameplay updates. The season follows the success of Season 1, which recreated the original Fortnite experience for players.

Epic Games announced the return of Tilted Towers, one of the most beloved locations in Fortnite history, alongside other classic points of interest like Haunted Hills, Shifty Shafts, and Retail Row. The update also reintroduces fan-favorite items such as Small Shield Potions, Boogie Bombs, and the Chug Jug.

“Meet you at Tilted Towers?” Epic Games teased on X, formerly known as Twitter, ahead of the update. Downtime for the v33.30 update began at 4 a.m. ET, with matchmaking disabled shortly before servers went offline. The update was expected to last until approximately 11 a.m. GMT, with players gaining access to the new content afterward.

Season 2’s Battle Pass features remixed versions of classic skins, including Sparkle Diva, Cuddle Team Specialist, and Knight Conqueror. Additionally, the update introduces crossovers with popular franchises like Jujutsu Kaisen and AC Milan, adding new skins and items to the game.

According to leaks from prominent Fortnite insider Hypex, the loot pool for Season 2 includes the Suppressed Pistol, Minigun, Crossbow, and Impulse Grenade. The update also vaults Godzilla, removing the creature from the OG map.

Fortnite OG Season 2 continues Epic Games’ effort to revisit the game’s early days, offering players a nostalgic trip through its original seasons. The first season was a massive success, and Season 2 is expected to build on that momentum with its mix of classic and new content.

For players eager to dive into the new season, the update is available on all platforms, including PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Android. However, due to the size of the update, file sizes are larger than usual, and servers may experience extended downtime.

Epic Games has not yet announced plans for an end-of-season event or details about Chapter 6, Season 2, but fans are already speculating about what’s next for the popular battle royale game.
