Forza Horizon 5 Ps5 Pro Gameplay

LOS ANGELES, CA – Forza Horizon 5 is now officially available on PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro. Launched on April 29, 2025, the critically acclaimed racing game has transitioned from Xbox and PC to Sony’s console, attracting attention for its impressive performance.

Developed by Playground Games and ported by Panic Button, Forza Horizon 5 features two main graphical modes: a 60 frames per second (fps) performance mode and a 30 fps quality mode. Early reviews from Digital Foundry indicate that the game retains a high visual fidelity similar to the Xbox Series X version, with vibrant environments set in Mexico.

Digital Foundry’s analysis reveals significant upgrades on the PS5 Pro, particularly in the performance mode. This mode showcases denser foliage, higher texture resolution, and improved draw distances compared to the base PS5. Gamers can enjoy a visually rich experience at a native 4K resolution while maintaining smooth gameplay.

One of the most notable enhancements for PS5 Pro users is the introduction of ray-traced self-reflections during gameplay. This feature allows players to see realistic reflections of their vehicles, enhancing the overall visual experience, although it is not available on other console versions outside of specific modes.

However, some minor issues were reported, including crashes when activating the photo mode during races on the PS5 Pro and larger-than-usual save file sizes, reaching over 2GB. Despite these drawbacks, Digital Foundry termed the PS5 Pro experience a “compromise-free” game.

The excitement surrounding Forza Horizon 5’s launch on PlayStation suggests a strong future for Microsoft’s decision to release their first-party titles on multiple platforms. As the popularity of the racing game continues to grow, it stands poised to become one of Microsoft’s best performances on PlayStation.
