SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Authorities reported four people were found dead in a San Francisco home on Wednesday afternoon, prompting police to label the deaths as suspicious and indicative of a “criminal action.” The grim discovery was made after officers conducted a welfare check at the residence.

As investigators worked late into the night, a coroner’s truck was seen surrounded by white sheets as they removed the bodies. Initial reports confirm that two of the deceased were children, identified by heartbroken neighbors expressing their shock at the tragedy.

Teo Brouwers, a neighbor, recalled hearing the news as he returned from school. “I just – you know, my heart dropped,” he said. Belinda Hanart, another neighbor, described her disbelief, stating, “We are processing the information right now. It’s a tragedy, and we’re thinking about the family.”

Hanart, who lives next door, mentioned that she did not notice anything unusual in the days leading up to the incident. “Our bedroom is on their side, and we have two dogs, so there was no noise at all,” she said. The family that lived there was described as normal, with two young girls and typical family routines.

While police are not currently disclosing details about the circumstances of the deaths, they did confirm that crimes occurred within the home. Officer Robert Rueca from the San Francisco Police Department stated, “That is a possibility. We’re not confirming any of that at this time but that is a possibility of this incident.”

The names of the victims have not yet been made public. Officials are urging the community to remain calm, stating there is no ongoing threat to the public.
