Fox News Host Kat Timpf Reveals Cancer Diagnosis Before Childbirth

NEW YORK, NY — Fox News personality Kat Timpf shared the shocking news of her breast cancer diagnosis just hours before giving birth to her son. In a detailed social media post, Timpf revealed she welcomed her first child last week but received her diagnosis about 15 hours beforehand.
“Last week, I welcomed my first child into the world. About fifteen hours before I went into labor, I was diagnosed with breast cancer,” Timpf wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. She reassured her followers, stating, “Now, before you worry, my doctor says it’s Stage 0 and is confident that it almost certainly hasn’t spread. Or, as I’ve explained to the few people I’ve managed to tell about it so far: Don’t freak out. It’s just, like, a LITTLE bit of cancer.”
The 36-year-old comedian described the chaotic day leading up to her childbirth, stating, “Still, it was not a chill day. I mean, to say the least! I woke up more-than-a-week-past-due pregnant, completely consumed by doing everything I could to get the baby out.” Timpf noted the overwhelming emotions she experienced that day as she attended multiple appointments concerning both her pregnancy and cancer treatment.
Timpf humorously recounted asking if she could get a copy of her tumor ultrasound to place on the refrigerator alongside her baby’s ultrasound. Soon after, she went into spontaneous labor and headed to the hospital to meet her son.
Upon announcing the birth of her son, Timpf expressed gratitude towards the hospital staff for their support and humor during her ordeal. “Just minutes after my boy was born, I was talking with the nurses about what a birth announcement in my situation might look like,” she stated.
Reflecting on her circumstances, Timpf shared a poignant message about motherhood and her cancer diagnosis. “These next three months of maternity leave are going to look a lot different than I’d anticipated, and I’m still getting used to my new reality,” she said. “Still, as I navigate new motherhood (and new cancer), I’m learning to celebrate everything I can. I’m lucky that we found the cancer so early; I’m lucky to be my son’s mom. I mean, I know I’m biased, but the little dude absolutely rules — and not just because he might have saved my life.”
Following her announcement, Timpf received an outpouring of support from her colleagues and followers. Greg Gutfeld tweeted, “We’re all here for you, Kat!” while Kayleigh McEnany offered prayers and love for the new mother.
Despite the challenges ahead, Timpf remains optimistic, expressing her determination to find humor and hope during tough times. “Here’s to resilience, miracles in the midst of chaos, and finding humor and hope even on the toughest days,” she concluded in her post.
