Fox News Hosts Engage in Heated Debate Over Trump Deportations

New York, NY – Fox News host Jesse Watters accused co-host Jessica Tarlov of jokingly shooting former President Donald Trump during a heated debate on the show The Five on May 1, 2025. The discussion centered around the Trump administration’s deportation policies.
Tarlov addressed concerns about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) actions, mentioning a family in Oklahoma City that was removed from their home in the night. “There are citizens who have been by ICE,” Tarlov stated, expressing her discontent.
Co-host Jeanine Pirro defended the actions, saying, “And then brought back home. They made a mistake.” In response, Tarlov challenged Pirro’s views, suggesting that such actions would not be acceptable if it happened to her. “I’m gonna come and haul you out of your house at 2 o’clock in the morning in your underpants and you’re gonna tell me it’s just fine,” she said.
The conversation escalated when Tarlov accused the Trump administration of targeting immigration attorneys. Watters humorously added, “I mean, you targeted the president! You went to Mar-a-Lago and her [First Lady Melania Trump’s] underwear drawer.” This comment invited further back-and-forth exchanges.
Tarlov denied the accusation, insisting that the actions taken by law enforcement were polite. “They did it in the most polite way possible. He had national security documents in ballrooms and toilets,” she replied.
Watters persisted with his joking demeanor, accusing Tarlov of being involved in the July 2024 assassination attempt against Trump, saying, “And then you shot him in the ear. It’s okay.” Tarlov humorously protested, “I didn’t shoot him!”
Co-host Greg Gutfeld chimed in, questioning the origins of doxxing, pointing fingers at Tarlov. “What side invented doxxing? Who came up with doxxing? It wasn’t a Republican,” he said. To which Watters replied, “Yeah, you, Jessica.”
The episode showcased the show’s typical blend of humor and political commentary, highlighting the tensions surrounding current immigration policies.
