Frost Advisory Eastern Pennsylvania

The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for Eastern Pennsylvania, starting from midnight until 9 a.m. on Friday. Eastern Pennsylvania is expected to experience temperatures dropping to the mid-30s overnight. “Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered,” the National Weather Service warned.

The forecast for the region reveals that temperatures will warm on Friday and Saturday, ranging from the mid-60s to the mid-70s during the day. Friday will see a high near 67 with sunny skies and a mild west wind of 5 to 10 mph. Saturday is expected to be warmer with a high near 74 degrees and a breeze from the northwest.

In New Jersey, the weather forecast is similar with dry, sunny conditions expected on Thursday. Daytime temperatures will range from the low to mid-60s in central and southern regions, while northwestern areas will experience the mid- to upper 50s. Winds are expected to gust up to 25 mph, bringing an early November feeling to the day. A frost advisory is in effect for several counties, including Atlantic, Burlington, and Mercer, among others.

As the weekend approaches, temperatures in New Jersey are anticipated to climb as high as the mid-to upper 70s on Saturday. On Sunday, there is a forecasted 30% to 40% chance of rainfall, influenced by the track of an approaching low-pressure system.

Meanwhile, in Florida, Hurricane Milton is making its presence felt with significant impact. The National Hurricane Center reported that the storm was moving off the east coast of Florida early Thursday, with maximum sustained winds of 85 mph. As Milton heads north towards the Bahamas, all hurricane and tropical storm warnings for Florida’s west coast have been lifted.

The storm has caused extensive damage in its path across central Florida, leaving more than 3 million residents and businesses without power as of early Thursday morning. Hardee, Sarasota, Hillsborough, and Manatee counties were among the hardest hit by power outages. Additionally, a series of tornadoes preceded the hurricane’s landfall, with significant damage reported, especially at the Spanish Lakes Country Club near Fort Pierce. Tragically, St. Lucie County Sheriff Keith Pearson confirmed that there have been fatalities, though exact numbers were not disclosed.
