Grand Jury Indicts Suspect in Las Vegas Shooting and Carjackings

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – A grand jury has indicted Aerion Warmsely, 19, for his involvement in a deadly shooting and a series of carjackings across the Las Vegas Valley. The charges include murder with a deadly weapon, robbery, burglary, and battery.
The situation escalated on June 11, when Warmsely is accused of a fatal shooting. Within an hour, he was allegedly involved in a car crash near Spring Mountain and I-15. Following that incident, he reportedly committed multiple carjackings in the area.
Warmsely was apprehended shortly thereafter near Sahara Avenue and Boulder Highway. Documents obtained reveal that a Clark County grand jury believes he acted willfully when committing robbery and driving recklessly. The jury has also formally charged him with murder in connection to the shooting.
He is scheduled to appear for his initial arraignment on June 11.
