Grimsby and Immingham Community Recycling Centres Decked Out in Valentine’s Day Themed Decorations
A festive atmosphere enveloped the
Grimsby Community Recycling Centre
and
Immingham
Community Recycling Centre
in preparation for Valentine’s Day celebrations. The staff at these centers, managed by
North East Lincolnshire Council's waste management contractor,
Newlincs Development Ltd, went above and beyond to set the mood for the day of love. Displaying creative
festive decorations, such as a cheerful chef figure waving a heart-adorned flag, a unique creature crafted from red tires, and a traffic cone transformed into Cupid, the recycling centers aimed to spread joy and warmth to all visitors. Furthermore, to enhance the Valentine’s spirit, chocolates were handed out to individuals dropping by for recycling purposes.
Both the Grimsby and Immingham Community Recycling Centres, located at Estuary Way on Pyewipe Industrial Estate, Grimsby, DN31 2UD, and Queens Road in Immingham, DN40 1QN respectively, operate daily from 8 am to 6 pm, except on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day. Despite the relocation of the Gilbey Road depot adjacent to the Grimsby site, the Community Recycling Centre will continue its regular operations without any interruptions.
Matty Harlow, a dedicated team member at the Grimsby center, expressed his enthusiasm for creating the vibrant decorations, emphasizing the commitment to continually enhance the festive experience for all visitors. Councillor Stewart Swinburn, the Environment and Transport portfolio holder at the Council, lauded the award-winning staff at both the Grimsby and Immingham centers for their exceptional work in fostering an inclusive and enjoyable environment. He remarked on the dedication of the staff to elevate the recycling site’s appeal and provide an engaging space for individuals to recycle unwanted items.
