GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A former Gwinnett County teacher, Brandon Hill, has been arrested on charges of inappropriately touching elementary school students. The 29-year-old, who taught at Trip Elementary School, faces allegations from multiple victims following incidents that occurred over 20 days in March.

Police reported that Hill was accused of telling one victim it was “quiet time” as he rubbed her hair, head, back, and shoulders on six different occasions. The allegations detail a disturbing pattern of behavior aimed at at least two students.

Tina Brown, a concerned parent, expressed her shock at the news. “A teacher touching a child? That hurts me dearly,” she said. Other parents shared similar feelings, voicing their alarm over the situation. “If you want to touch on children, you should go to jail, go sit there and understand the meaning,” Brown added.

In addition to the first-degree felony child cruelty charge, Hill faces a misdemeanor simple battery charge for his actions. A statement from Gwinnett County Public Schools emphasized the district’s commitment to student safety, stating, “The safety and well-being of our students and staff is – and will always be – the district’s top priority.”

As soon as the allegations surfaced, Hill was removed from the classroom and did not return to the school. He has since posted a $6,000 bond and is awaiting his court date. Parents are now left worrying about the emotional impact on the victims involved, as the legal process unfolds.
