Halle Bailey Files Restraining Order Against DDG After Alleged Abuse

LOS ANGELES, California – Singer Halle Bailey has filed a police report and a restraining order against rapper DDG, claiming he engaged in a series of abusive incidents. The legal documents, filed on Tuesday, detail allegations of physical and verbal abuse, beginning shortly after their breakup in October 2024.
According to Bailey, the situation turned physical in January when DDG came to pick up their son, Halo. While attempting to discuss visitation arrangements, Bailey claims DDG became hostile, telling her to “Get out of my car, BITCH” as she fastened Halo into his car seat. Feeling anxious about her son’s reaction, Bailey alleges the confrontation escalated into a physical struggle, with DDG pulling her hair, slamming her face into the steering wheel, and chipping her tooth.
Bailey stated that despite the pain, she remained in the car out of concern for Halo. After arriving at DDG’s house, she recounted the incident to his family. They assured her they would take care of Halo, but Bailey left in distress with visible bruises and the chipped tooth. She included images of her injuries in her restraining order application.
In a series of concerning events, Bailey described another incident in March when DDG allegedly entered her home without permission. He sent her a text with a photo of her empty bed, captioned, “now I know what u been on lol.” Bailey interpreted this as an accusation regarding her personal life.
Just days later, Bailey claims the situation escalated again when she informed DDG that she and Halo were ill and she preferred he not take him out. According to her, DDG became verbally abusive, smashed her Ring camera, and took her phone, later throwing it out of his car window while yelling, “GO GET IT BITCH.” This prompted Bailey to formally report the incidents to law enforcement.
On the heels of these events, a judge granted Bailey a domestic violence restraining order requiring DDG to maintain a distance of at least 100 yards. She has also received permission to take their 18-month-old son, Halo, to Italy for two months, where she will be filming a movie. Furthermore, DDG has been ordered to refrain from posting or streaming content about Bailey and their child, as she alleges his comments have incited his online fanbase against her.
Efforts to obtain a comment from DDG’s representatives were unsuccessful.
