High Turnout in Washoe County as Voters Head to Polls on Election Day 2024
As Election Day 2024 unfolds, Washoe County in Nevada has seen a significant turnout of voters, both in early voting and on the actual election day. Early voting, which ended on Friday evening, drew an impressive in-person turnout of 90,712 voters, along with over 105,000 mail-in ballots. This combined effort resulted in a total turnout of around 59 percent of registered voters before Election Day even began.
For those who have not yet cast their ballots, there are 55 Vote Centers available across Washoe County. These centers are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day, and voters who are in line by the closing time will still be allowed to cast their votes.
In addition to in-person voting, voters can also drop off their mail-in ballots at any of the Vote Centers. Mail ballots postmarked by Election Day and received by Friday, November 8, will be counted across the state.
