IceHogs Dominate Wolves in 6-1 Victory at Allstate Arena

Rockford Icehogs Chicago Wolves Hockey Game

Rosemont, IL – The Rockford IceHogs rolled over the Chicago Wolves with a convincing 6-1 win on Tuesday at Allstate Arena.

It took just 54 seconds for the IceHogs to score. Rookie Nick Lardis received a pass from Brett Seney and sent a one-timer past Chicago’s goalkeeper Nikita Quapp.

Only 42 seconds later, Jackson Cates increased the lead, finishing off a feed from Ryan Mast to make it 2-0. Oliver Moore pushed the advantage to 3-0 with a goal set up by another perfect pass from Seney. Lardis capped off a dominant first period by scoring his second goal at 17:45 after a fast break down the ice.

In the opening frame, Lardis and Seney each tallied three points, while Moore made his mark on the scoreboard twice.

The second period continued in Rockford’s favor as Kevin Korchinski assisted Joey Anderson for a 5-0 lead. Samuel Savoie added another goal, extending the score to 6-0 IceHogs.

The Wolves finally got on the board when Felix Unger Sorum scored at 13:09 of the second period.

Drew Commesso played a key role for Rockford, stopping 23 shots to secure his second consecutive win.

The IceHogs will be back in action at home on Saturday, November 1, at 7:00 pm for Dia De Los Muertos Night against the Griffins at the BMO Center. The first 2,500 fans will receive a Hammy Sugar Skull Bobblehead.
