Classic Rock Album Covers And Marvel Comic Book Homage Variant Covers

In the realm of music and comics, iconic covers continue to captivate audiences and inspire new creations. Recently, several classic rock album covers have been highlighted for their enduring impact on music culture. Albums such as The Beatles‘ *Abbey Road*, Pink Floyd‘s *The Dark Side Of The Moon*, The Who‘s *Who’s Next*, and Black Sabbath‘s self-titled debut have been praised for their visually striking and memorable cover art.

The Beatles’ *Abbey Road*, with its simple yet iconic image of the band members crossing a street, has become one of the most recognizable album covers in history. Similarly, Pink Floyd’s *The Dark Side Of The Moon*, featuring a prism and a beam of light, is celebrated for its simplicity and visual appeal. The Who’s *Who’s Next* and Black Sabbath’s debut album covers also stand out for their unique and evocative designs.

In the comics world, Marvel is set to release a series of homage variant covers featuring the Fantastic Four. These covers, drawn by today’s leading artists, pay tribute to iconic Marvel comic covers by placing the Fantastic Four and their supporting cast in recreations of classic scenes. For example, Invisible Woman is depicted in a homage to *WOLVERINE (1982) #1*, and Mister Fantastic is shown web-swinging in an homage to *AMAZING SPIDER-MAN (1963) #300*. These covers will be available starting in January 2025 and coincide with significant events in the Fantastic Four universe, including the release of the film *The Fantastic Four: First Steps*.

Additionally, DC Comics has unveiled previews and covers for *Absolute Wonder Woman #2*, set to be released on November 27, 2024. This comic, written by Kelly Thompson and illustrated by Hayden Sherman, features multiple variant covers, including work by Joëlle Jones, Stephanie Hans, and Rafael Albuquerque. The story continues the red-hot reimagining of Wonder Woman as she faces off against a monstrous threat in Gateway City).
