Illness Forces Queens of the Stone Age to Cancel Edmonton Concert
Rock band Queens of the Stone Age disappointed fans in Edmonton, Canada, on Tuesday, April 3, when they made a last-minute announcement canceling their highly anticipated concert. The band, known for hits like ‘No One Knows,’ cited illness as the reason for the sudden change, leaving ticket holders disheartened.
The cancellation notice came around 8:30 p.m. local time, just moments before the band was scheduled to take the stage at 8:45 p.m. In a statement, Queens of the Stone Age expressed regret, explaining that they were physically unable to deliver the performance they had planned for their loyal fans.
The abrupt cancellation led to disappointment among concert-goers, as they were informed that the show they had been looking forward to would no longer take place. Those who had purchased tickets were assured that they would receive further information from their point of purchase regarding refunds or rescheduled dates.
Despite Queens of the Stone Age pulling out of the Edmonton show, the opening act, The Struts, proceeded with their performance, entertaining the crowd and trying to make up for the unexpected turn of events.
This cancellation comes at the beginning of the band’s Canadian tour, which kicked off in Calgary on April 1. The tour is in support of their latest album, ‘In Times New Roman,’ and had enthusiasts eagerly awaiting their favorite rock band’s live show.
