Indian Super League 2024-25 Fixture Announcement Highlights Key Derbies and Matches
The Indian Super League (ISL) has officially announced the full fixture list for the 2024-25 season, with the highly anticipated Kolkata Derby’s second leg set to take place on January 11. The match will feature two of football’s oldest rivals, Mohun Bagan SG and East Bengal FC, meeting at Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan.
Another anticipated Kolkata Derby, featuring Mohammedan SC and Mohun Bagan SG, is scheduled for February 1 at the same stadium. The Derby season will conclude with a clash between Mohammedan SC and East Bengal FC on February 16. These fixtures are expected to draw significant fan attention as these matches are known for their passionate and intense atmosphere.
Among other notable matches, Bengaluru FC will visit Jamshedpur to compete at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on January 4. At the same time, Punjab FC is set to host Mikael Stahre‘s Kerala Blasters at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on January 5.
Football fans can also look forward to a feisty encounter between Odisha FC and FC Goa on January 4, showcasing Spanish football styles under the guidance of head coaches Sergio Lobera and Manolo Marquez. Additionally, NorthEast United FC will play their inaugural match at the newly designated home venue — the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong — against last season’s ISL Cup winners, Mumbai City FC, on February 7.
Kerala Blasters FC will face their southern rivals Chennaiyin FC on January 30 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai, while Chennaiyin FC is set to battle Bengaluru FC on February 25 at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium. These matches hold significant implications for the playoff race.
Furthermore, the second phase of the ISL fixtures highlights include a January 4 match between Jamshedpur FC and Bengaluru FC. Jamshedpur FC, presently sitting third on the league table, will undertake 12 matches, consisting of five home games and seven away fixtures.
The league phase will culminate on March 12 with a showdown at the GMC Balayogi Athletic Stadium in Hyderabad, where Hyderabad FC will face Kerala Blasters. The playoffs will follow, with the ISL scheduled to wrap up by the end of March, succeeded by the Super Cup in April and May.
