Inld Haryana State Unit Chief Nafe Singh Rathee Assassinated In Jhajjar

Indian National Lok Dal’s Haryana state unit chief, Nafe Singh Rathee, along with a party worker, faced a tragic demise as unidentified assailants shot them dead in the district of Jhajjar.

The incident unfolded as Rathee, a former MLA, was traveling in an SUV when the perpetrators in a car ambushed them in Bahadurgarh town within Jhajjar.

The shocking attack was met with condemnation from INLD leader Abhay Chautala, who criticized the government for failing to provide security to Rathee despite prior threats to his life, leading him to call for the resignation of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and State Home Minister Anil Vij.

Opposition parties were swift to react, with former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda expressing condolences and accusing the current BJP-led government of negligence in maintaining law and order in the state.

Similarly, Aam Aadmi Party leader Sushil Gupta raised concerns over the deteriorating law and order situation in Haryana, pointing to what he termed as a ‘jungle raj’ prevailing under the current administration.

In response to the tragic event, State Home Minister Anil Vij assured that immediate action was being taken, with investigative teams actively pursuing leads related to the shooting.

Dr. Manish Sharma of Brahma Shakti Sanjeevani Hospital provided insights into the medical aftermath of the attack, revealing that Rathee and one party worker succumbed to their injuries upon arrival, while two others are being treated for gunshot wounds in the ICU.

Jhajjar SP Arpit Jain confirmed ongoing investigations into the incident, assuring the public that efforts were underway to apprehend the perpetrators swiftly.
