Isolated Thunderstorms Expected in SW Montana This Weekend

BOZEMAN, Montana – A Pacific disturbance will bring isolated thunderstorms to southwest Montana Saturday afternoon.

The Storm Prediction Center has issued a “marginal” risk for potential severe thunderstorms. These storms could produce large hail, damaging wind gusts, frequent lightning, and brief heavy rain.

On Sunday, a few showers or thunderstorms are possible around sunrise. Another wave of storms is expected to develop late in the afternoon and into the evening.

Officials say the storms are likely to be brief and isolated, meaning the weather forecast is not a total washout this weekend.
