Television personalities Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard have been announced as the new hosting duo for ITV‘s daytime show This Morning, taking over from long-time presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.

Shephard, known for his role on Good Morning Britain, expressed his excitement at the opportunity to co-host This Morning, describing it as a special moment in his career. Deeley, recognized for her work on SMTV and So You Think You Can Dance?, praised the show as a beloved national institution.

Following Schofield and Willoughby’s departures, Deeley and Shephard will helm the show from Monday to Thursday, aiming to continue the program’s legacy of engaging, informative, and entertaining content.

Other notable guest hosts on This Morning in recent times include Alison Hammond, Josie Gibson, Craig Doyle, Emma Willis, Christine Lampard, Rylan Clark, and Dermot O'Leary. Hammond and O’Leary are set to continue their Friday hosting duties on the show.

The transition to new hosts comes amid reports of a turbulent working environment at This Morning, with former contributors alleging toxic cultures and misconduct. ITV’s decision to appoint Deeley and Shephard reflects a strategic shift to rejuvenate the show’s image and maintain its relevance in daytime television.
