IVE Graces Cosmopolitan Cover, Reflects on Record-Breaking 2024
SEOUL, South Korea — K-pop sensation IVE graced the cover of Cosmopolitan‘s February 2025 issue, marking their return to the fashion and lifestyle magazine after two years. The group, consisting of Ahn Yu-jin, Autumn, Ray, Jang Won-young, Liz, and Lee Seo, showcased a more mature and polished image in a Valentine’s Day-themed pictorial featuring global brand Dyson.
The six-member group, known for their chart-topping hits and global appeal, reflected on their record-breaking 2024 during an accompanying interview. IVE swept major awards last year, including the Golden Disc Awards and the Asian Artist Awards, for their second EP album ‘VE SWITCH‘ and its title track ‘HEYA.’ They also became the fourth-largest girl group in history, drawing 440,000 attendees during their first world tour, ‘SHOW WHAT I HAVE,’ which spanned 28 cities across 19 countries.
“I went to so many cities during my world tour last year, and I’m glad that the results of my hard work were recognized at the Golden Disc Awards,” said Ahn Yu-jin. Ray added, “I feel happy to be able to do what I like with great results.” Liz, who attended her first award ceremony in 2025, expressed gratitude, saying, “Thank you for giving me this huge award of winning three awards. I think it’s a good start to the year.”
IVE’s global success was further cemented by their performances at major music festivals, including Lollapalooza Chicago and Japan’s SUMMER SONIC 2024. Their live performances earned praise from Rolling Stone and other international media, solidifying their reputation as a “performance powerhouse.”
Looking ahead, IVE is set to release their third EP album, ‘VE EMPATHY,’ on February 3, 2025. The pre-released title track, ‘REBEL HEART,’ dropped on January 13 and has already garnered attention for its relatable themes and diverse character portrayals in the music video. “This is it! You finally came to us! I was so happy that I thought about it,” Ahn Yu-jin said about the new song. Jang Won-young added, “It’s a song that everyone can relate to. The music video also has all six of our characters, each expressing different selves.”
IVE’s journey from their 2021 debut to becoming a global phenomenon has been marked by consistent growth and innovation. With their upcoming album and continued dedication to their craft, the group shows no signs of slowing down. Fans worldwide eagerly anticipate what 2025 holds for IVE as they continue to redefine the K-pop landscape.
