Jackson’s Easter Eggstravaganza Draws Families for Fun and Festivities

JACKSON, Tenn. — Families flocked to Madison County Leeper Lane Park this morning for the annual Easter Eggstravaganza, hosted by the Jackson and Madison County Parks & Recreation Department. The free event ran from 10 a.m. to noon, providing young children with the opportunity to hunt for colorful eggs and capture moments with the Easter Bunny.

Excitement filled the air as parents watched their children dash around the park, eager to fill their baskets with hidden treats. “We’re having a good turnout today with the weather being as beautiful as it is. It shows that the families in Jackson-Madison County want to get out and do family events,” said Bridgett Parham, Manager for City of Jackson Recreation and Parks.

The Easter Eggstravaganza is a beloved tradition in Jackson, attracting hundreds of families every year. In addition to the egg hunt, the event featured a bounce house, games, and a variety of snacks. Children were not only allowed to search for eggs but also engage in fun activities that promoted family bonding.

Local parents appreciated the opportunity to enjoy a festive atmosphere in their community. “It’s great to see so many families out here together for this event. It really brings everyone together and creates lasting memories,” said local resident Tanya Wilkins.

The festivities align with other Easter events happening across West Tennessee, where local organizations and communities host various egg hunts and celebrations to mark the holiday weekend. For example, in Madison County, the Donnell Century Farm also hosted a Bunny Palooza event today, offering another opportunity for families to celebrate Easter.
