Jackson Wang Concert Food Poisoning News

SEOUL, South Korea — K-pop star Jackson Wang was hospitalized late Friday night due to food poisoning, prompting the cancellation of his scheduled Music Korea Fan Signing Event.

According to reports, Wang, a former member of the boy band GOT7, experienced severe symptoms at midnight on August 15 and was rushed to the emergency room. His agency, Team Wang Records, confirmed the situation on August 16, releasing an official statement to fans.

“We regret to inform you that today’s MUSIC KOREA fan signing event has been inevitably canceled,” the statement read. “Jackson was taken to the emergency room yesterday at midnight due to sudden food poisoning. He is currently under medical care and requires rest and recovery.”

The cancellation comes as Wang prepares for his Magic Man 2 world tour, which is set to kick off in Bangkok on October 3. He faces a tight timeline for recovery, with the Asian leg of the tour including stops in cities such as Kuala Lumpur on October 25.

Fans took to social media following the news to wish Wang a speedy recovery. Team Wang Records also assured fans that they are working with the Music Korea team to reschedule the signing event and will announce the new date soon.

Wang recently released his second album, “Magic Man 2,” in July and has been actively promoting his music career since leaving JYP Entertainment in 2021. His upcoming tour will feature both new tracks and popular songs from previous releases.
