Jacksonville Ticket Wins $1 Million in Powerball Drawing

JACKSONVILLE, Florida — A winning ticket sold in Jacksonville has matched five numbers in the Powerball drawing held on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025, resulting in a $1 million prize. The ticket was purchased at a Publix located at 7117 Merrill Road.
Another winning ticket for the same $1 million prize was sold at Golden Ox Liquors on Normandy Boulevard in Jacksonville, making it a lucky night for the city. Jacksonville is situated about 30 miles south of the Georgia state line.
The winning numbers for the Powerball drawing were 10, 13, 28, 34, and 47, with the Powerball number being 15 and a Power Play of 3x. Since no one matched all the numbers, the Powerball jackpot continues to grow, now estimated at $295 million for the next drawing scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 18.
The winning ticketholders can claim their prizes in person or by mail for amounts of $250,000 or less. Florida Lottery winners must disclose certain details as public records but can maintain anonymity for prizes over $250,000 for 90 days.
Historically, the Florida Lottery has seen huge prize payouts, including a record $1.787 billion jackpot on Sept. 6. As excitement builds for the upcoming drawing, lottery officials remind players to purchase their tickets in authorized retail locations.
