Auburn Hills, Michigan — Jeep has launched a teaser campaign for the refreshed 2026 Grand Cherokee, showcasing updates to both the exterior and interior of the mid-size SUV. The updated model is expected to arrive at dealerships across the U.S. later this year.

The automaker released two photos that reveal a more squared-off grille inspired by the Recon EV, while the headlights appear familiar but with revised trim surrounds. The new front bumper includes a mid-mounted intake, a smaller lower opening, and repositioned fog lights. Boxy air intakes have also been incorporated, mostly enclosed for a streamlined look.

Though the exterior changes are subtle, the production model may have more significant updates upon its release. For the first time, the Grand Cherokee and the Grand Cherokee L will share a front end design.

Inside, the cabin retains its luxurious feel with leather and wood trim. However, a new, wider infotainment screen has replaced many physical controls, raising some concerns about usability. The updated design includes digital buttons for heated front seats, alongside traditional volume and tuning knobs.

Jeep remains tight-lipped on specific details about the 2026 Grand Cherokee, but it is rumored that the current 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine may be replaced by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder. The Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid will also return, although it is unclear if it will feature powertrain updates to improve its electric-only range of 26 miles (42 km).

The 2026 Grand Cherokee is currently undergoing final validation testing, and Jeep aims to launch it later this year. The anticipation grows as enthusiasts look forward to the next iteration of this popular SUV.
