John Cena’s Final Match Speculations Heat Up Ahead of Tournament
STAMFORD, Conn. — John Cena is set to compete in his final WWE match on December 13 at Saturday Night’s Main Event. To decide who will be his last opponent, a tournament titled ‘Last Time is Now’ is currently underway.
In a hype video for the tournament, Cena hinted that competitors might include talents not signed to WWE. Upcoming matches will feature Solo Sikoa and L.A. Knight on the November 14 SmackDown and November 17 Raw, respectively, although their opponents remain undisclosed until match time.
Wrestler Matt Cardona addressed speculation about his participation in the tournament during a recent interview. “What does my entrance music say? What does my gear say? What does my butt say when you read my trunks?… It says ‘Alwayz Ready.’ So I’ve made a career out of being always ready, and I’ve said it for years, if the phone rings, I’ll have a conversation,” he shared.
Cardona mentioned this is a significant opportunity for any wrestler. Cena previously referred to Cardona during a summer segment where he delivered his version of the ‘Pipe Bomb’. Cardona has appeared on NXT in the past, facing Josh Briggs on the October 14 episode.
