LOS ANGELES, Calif. — John Stamos has expressed strong support for his longtime friend and former co-star, Lori Loughlin, during her tumultuous separation from designer Mossimo Giannulli. Stamos made his remarks during the “Good Guys” podcast episode released on October 20, 2025.

Stamos, who starred alongside Loughlin in the popular television series “Full House,” did not hold back while criticizing Giannulli. “I will never talk to him again. He’s a terrible narcissist,” Stamos said on the podcast. He reflected on Loughlin’s struggles, stating, “Whatever he did to her, it busted her up to the core. And she put up with a lot over the years for this guy.”

Loughlin has been in the public eye since her involvement in the 2019 college admissions scandal, which led to her and Giannulli pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud. They were accused of paying $500,000 to falsely secure their daughters, Isabella Rose and Olivia Jade, admissions to the University of Southern California.

After serving time in prison, Loughlin and Giannulli’s marriage faced significant strain. Stamos, who has known Loughlin for over 40 years, spoke to her during these challenging times. “I really try to be there for her in this time, and I’m not gonna debate whether she had much to do with it or not. I know she didn’t,” he said.

He emphasized Loughlin’s character, describing her as a “saint” who has always been a good mother and friend. “For a girl who has lived her life really well, to be thrown into this separation, and blowing up her family this way — I just hate to see her go through this,” he added.

Stamos recalled a conversation with Loughlin after her release from prison. He asked her how her time was, to which she replied humorously, saying she met many nice ladies and they formed a book club. Stamos remarked, “That’s her. She always makes the best of a situation.” He continued to champion her strength, saying, “Whatever negativity or hardships you’ve been through in your life is connected to this guy.”

As for Giannulli, Stamos expressed a desire for him to seek help, mentioning, “I pray that he gets a hold of whatever hole that he’s trying to fill.” He concluded by stating that Loughlin deserves better, reiterating his heartbreak over the challenges she has faced.
