St. Johns County Receives Major Disaster Declaration and Continues Relief Efforts
St. Johns County has been included in a major disaster declaration approved by President Joseph R. Biden, Jr., following recent severe weather events. This declaration is a significant step in providing federal assistance to the affected areas, enabling the county to access additional resources for recovery and relief efforts.
The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office (SJSO) and St. Johns County Fire Rescue are actively involved in helping those impacted by the disaster. They are conducting patrols and welfare checks to ensure the safety and well-being of residents. For those in need of assistance, the SJSO can be contacted at 904-824-8304.
In addition to the disaster relief, the county is also engaging the public in planning for the future. St. Johns County is hosting the second open house for the County’s Comprehensive Plan, inviting residents to participate and provide input on the county’s development and growth strategies.
The county’s administrative and emergency services are operating as usual, with the Property Appraiser’s office and other county facilities open from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Residents can also sign up for property fraud alerts and access various county services through the official St. Johns County website.
