Justin Baldoni Celebrates Birthday Amid Legal Battle with Blake Lively

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Justin Baldoni, the actor-director of *It Ends With Us*, celebrated his 41st birthday on Jan. 24, 2025, as his wife, Emily Baldoni, publicly expressed her support amid his ongoing legal dispute with actress Blake Lively. Emily shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, writing, “Happy birthday my love. Celebrating the man, husband, and father that you are. I’d choose you again and again.”

The couple, married since 2013, has been vacationing in Hawaii with their two children, daughter Maiya, 9, and son Maxwell, 7. The family getaway comes as Baldoni faces serious allegations from Lively, who filed a lawsuit in December 2024 accusing him of sexual harassment and orchestrating a retaliatory campaign against her. Baldoni has denied the claims, with his attorney, Bryan Freedman, calling them “false, outrageous and intentionally salacious.”

Lively’s complaint, filed months after production began on the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s novel *It Ends With Us*, alleges that Baldoni engaged in “invasive, unwelcome, unprofessional and sexually inappropriate behavior.” The lawsuit claims the actress suffered “grief, fear, trauma, and extreme anxiety” as a result. In response, Baldoni filed a countersuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist, accusing them of defamation and extortion.

Lively’s legal team has dismissed Baldoni’s countersuit as “another chapter in the abuser playbook,” stating, “The strategy of attacking the woman is desperate, it does not refute the evidence in Ms. Lively’s complaint, and it will fail.”

Despite the legal turmoil, Baldoni appeared optimistic during a recent encounter with reporters at Los Angeles International Airport on Jan. 17. Traveling with his family, he said, “We’re good, man. We have amazing friends and family. And faith.” Meanwhile, Lively has remained out of the public eye since the lawsuits surfaced, though Reynolds was spotted at a New York Knicks game on Jan. 7 and attended a concert at Radio City Music Hall on Jan. 24.
