Justin Timberlake Pleads Guilty to Driving While Ability Impaired Charge
Pop superstar Justin Timberlake has opted to plead guilty to a lesser charge of driving while ability impaired, following an incident earlier this year. In June, Timberlake was arrested in Sag Harbor after a night out, as previously reported by PEOPLE magazine.
A source close to Timberlake and his wife, actress Jessica Biel, disclosed to the publication that the couple has focused on spending quality family time amid their hectic work schedules since the incident. The source emphasized, “They’ve been very busy, working and just focusing on family time when they’re off.”
Timberlake, who rose to prominence with hits such as “SexyBack,” is currently engaged in his musical endeavors, while Biel continues her acting career. She is currently involved in back-to-back projects, including a forthcoming Amazon series. The duo is also managing their responsibilities as parents.
The source revealed that Biel “was not happy about” her husband’s arrest but expressed relief that the legal proceedings are concluded. The case was resolved in mid-September, with Timberlake being ordered to pay a $500 fine and complete 25 hours of community service.
Despite the legal troubles, the couple remains committed to their marriage, now entering its twelfth year since they wed in southern Italy in October 2012. “They are both committed to staying married,” the insider mentioned. “Jessica thinks he’s a wonderful dad. They’re a great team.”
During a recent concert at Montreal's Bell Centre on October 4, Timberlake acknowledged his wife in the audience as they approached their twelfth anniversary. “My wife is here tonight. And tonight is our 12-year anniversary,” Timberlake announced to the audience, affectionately referring to Biel.
The moment was later shared by Biel on her social media, highlighting the supportive nature of their relationship. As detailed by Timberlake during his performance, it was “a very special evening” for the couple.
As the couple moves beyond this chapter, they continue to balance their professional duties with family obligations, a sentiment echoed by the insider who stated, “They have to work on their marriage like most couples. Being working parents is never easy.”
