CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — The Cedar Falls Police Department is investigating a group fight that occurred on Friday afternoon, March 14, 2025, in the 4800 block of University Avenue.

Police received reports of the incident shortly before 3 p.m. and dispatched officers to the scene, where multiple individuals reported having been chased and assaulted. Upon arrival, officers found evidence supporting these claims.

During the response, law enforcement was able to pursue one individual who fled on foot. This suspect was apprehended and taken into custody, while several others managed to escape before officers arrived.

A juvenile male has been charged with three simple misdemeanors: Interference with Official Acts, Disorderly Conduct, and Assault. Additionally, he faces an aggravated misdemeanor charge of First-Degree Harassment.

The identity of the juvenile has not been released due to legal protections for minors. According to police, the investigation is ongoing as authorities seek to identify and locate other individuals involved in the altercation.
