Kamala Harris Fox News Interview

Democratic US presidential nominee Kamala Harris engaged in a spirited interview with Fox News host Bret Baier, discussing key issues such as immigration and transgender prison policies. Harris’ appearance on the conservative network comes just weeks before the election, as she conducts numerous media engagements.

During the 25-minute interview, Harris and Baier frequently interrupted each other, with Harris expressing frustration at not being allowed to finish her responses. The discussion began with immigration, including a segment on Jocelyn Nungaray, a 12-year-old girl killed by a migrant who had illegally crossed the border. Harris expressed her condolences but did not issue a direct apology related to the incident.

Regarding her past stance on decriminalizing border crossings, Harris reiterated her position that she does not support such measures. She criticized former President Donald Trump for his role in blocking a border security deal, asserting he preferred to “run on a problem instead of fixing a problem.”

The conversation also touched on taxpayer-funded gender reassignment surgery for prisoners. Harris stated she would “follow the law” but denied advocating for these surgeries as part of her current campaign, despite previous positions to the contrary.

Attempting to distance herself from President Joe Biden, Harris stated, “my presidency will not be a continuation of Joe Biden’s presidency,” without providing further explanation. She emphasized that Biden’s mental fitness was not in question, insisting that his experience qualified him to make important decisions.

After the interview, Baier shared that Harris arrived 15 minutes late, necessitating adjustments to the airing schedule. Baier expressed difficulty in guiding the interview, noting similarities to past challenges he faced when interviewing other political figures.

Former President Trump commented on the interview, congratulating Baier for what he described as “a tough but very fair interview,” while criticizing Harris for her performance and suggesting she should undergo cognitive testing.
