KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City International Airport recorded 11 inches of snow on Sunday, marking the fourth-largest single-day snowfall in the city’s history. This is only the eighth time since 1888 that Kansas City has received at least 10 inches of snow in a single day, according to the National Weather Service.

The heavy snowfall caused hazardous road conditions, leading to widespread closures and delays in public transportation. Local authorities urged residents to stay indoors and avoid unnecessary travel.
