Kanye West Unveils Controversial ‘Bully’ Album Featuring Son Saint

LOS ANGELES, CA — Kanye West surprised fans late Tuesday by releasing his new album ‘Bully’ along with three short film versions featuring his son, Saint West. The announcement came after a series of controversial tweets on social media.
The films, which run about 30 minutes each, showcase Saint in a wrestling ring fending off various New Japan Pro-Wrestling fighters, set to tracks from the album. Film editing was done by renowned director Hype Williams, known for his impact on music videos.
West first shared the project on X, formerly known as Twitter, with a note stating that the album was “not finished and half the vocals AI,” prompting him to seek listener feedback on his work. ‘Bully’ was initially teased in September 2024 at a concert in Haikou, China, where West debuted the song ‘Beauty and the Beast.’
In a recent interview, West explained that ‘Bully’ was inspired by a fight Saint had at school where he kicked another child, describing his son’s actions as the behavior of a “bully.” West plans to release a formal version of the album soon, but for now, it is only accessible through his X account.
The new album incorporates a range of soulful samples including Cortex’s ‘Huit Octobre 1971′ and the Supremes’ ‘You Can’t Hurry Love.’ Although anticipated to be a major release, West’s ongoing controversies raise questions about its future availability.
West’s stream of tweets preceding the album’s release included incendiary remarks targeting fellow artists Jay-Z and Beyoncé, causing a backlash as he reiterated his intent to bypass traditional music distribution methods. “I may stop using DSPs cause streams are fake and the French and Jewish record labels treat artists like prostitutes,” he tweeted.
As tensions continue to rise between West and his ex-wife Kim Kardashian regarding their children’s involvement in his projects, various reports indicate that concerns are being raised about using their children in his recent creative endeavors. Kardashian reportedly expressed her discontent regarding West’s integration of their family into his public persona.
While the immediate reaction to ‘Bully’ has been mixed amid the hype and West’s ongoing rants and controversies, it has undeniably generated discussion and interest within the media and music communities. As further details of the album and its implications unfold, fans are left wondering what direction West will take next in his evolving career.
