Katy Perry Announces Australian Arena Tour for 2025
American pop superstar Katy Perry has officially announced a large-scale arena tour across Australia slated for June 2025. The announcement comes as Perry released her newest album, titled ‘143,’ showcasing a transformation into a more fierce alt-pop artist. The singer stated her intention to deliver an exuberant and celebratory dance-pop album through the symbolic ‘143’ numerical expression of love.
Perry’s highly anticipated tour, titled “The Lifetimes Tour,” will hit major Australian cities including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth. Tickets will be available to the general public starting Friday, October 4th at 10 a.m. local time. A pre-sale for Telstra Plus members will begin on Friday, September 27th at 10 a.m., followed by a Snaffle pre-sale starting Tuesday, October 1st at 9 a.m. local time.
In conjunction with her tour announcement, Perry will also headline the 2024 AFL Grand Final set to occur at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). The event will mark her performance in front of a packed crowd of 100,000 soccer enthusiasts. Expressing her eagerness, Perry stated, “I’m so excited to be back in Australia and back at the mighty MCG to perform in front of 100,000 of the best and loudest fans in the world at this year’s Toyota AFL Grand Final.” She further emphasized the energy and nostalgia expected from the tour, mentioning her hit ‘Firework’ as a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.
Kylie Rogers, the General Manager of Customer and Commercial at Telstra, echoed Perry’s excitement, highlighting Perry’s long-standing influence in the music world and her anticipated contribution to the Grand Final pre-game entertainment.
Perry’s Australian tour will kick off on Monday, June 9th at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney and will travel across major cities, including a performance at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on June 12th and 13th, the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on June 17th, before concluding at the RAC Arena in Perth on June 22nd.
